I am viewing the OpenJDK project for AIX listed here: [ http://cr.openjdk.java.net/~simonis/ppc-aix-port/ ]( http://cr.openjdk.java.net/~simonis/ppc-aix-port/ )
 
For AIX, verisons 5.3 and 7.1 are listed. Currently, our environment is running AIX 6.1 and we are unsure if either of the OpenJDK versions will work. Will either install work for our 6.1 instance? The architecture is ppc64 and we would need this for JDK7.
