Hi Erik,

our OpenJDK port supports AIX starting from version 5.3 however we
currently only regularly build on AIX 5.3 and 7.1 because of time and
hardware resource shortage. Nevertheless AIX 6.1 should be fully
supported and working. Should you find any problems please don't
hesitate to let us know.

Please notice however that we don't provide binaries - you'll have to
build them yourself from the sources.
