<div>Hi All,<br>
<br>
I want to ask for your help in testing Early Access builds with
real world applications. <br>
Early Access binaries built from the JDK 8 code base are available
today from Oracle, <br>
at <a href="http://jdk8.java.net" target="_blank">http://jdk8.java.net</a>
<br>
<br>
If someone else is regularly making Early Access binaries
available for testing as well, <br>
feel free to share their location in a reply to this message<br>
<br>
We're looking to broaden our test coverage, to catch possible
"showstoppers " before <br>
we release. An effective way to do that is to leverage the tests
of other products that <br>
use Java in real world applications.<br>
<br>
In the past couple of weeks I have been working with Wilfly &
Apache Lucene. They <br>
have agreed to test our latest builds and report issues. <br>
<br>
As it happens both groups started testing with b109 , when they
moved to b111 they <br>
both reported the following issue : <a href="https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8026394" target="_blank">https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8026394</a>
<br>
This issue was resolved in b114 , testing by Apache Lucene &
RedHat Wilfly confirmed<br>
the fix.<br>
<br>
If you are willing to regularly run your tests with EA builds and
report back if there are <br>
any issues we would love to hear from you on this mailing list. If
you find issues, please <br>
report them through <a href="http://bugs.sun.com" target="_blank">bugs.sun.com</a> (unless you already have an
account in the JDK Bug <br>
System), and post the incident ID from the confirmation e-mail to
this list. <br>
<br>
I am sure early warning of compatibility problems or potential
regressions is useful to <br>
all of us.<u></u> Let me know if you are interested, <u></u>we
really appreciate your help! <br>
