shenandoah/jdk10 and JDK 10 repository consolidation

Hello Shenandoah folks,

As you may have heard, we're working on consolidating the JDK 10 OpenJDK
forest into a single repository [1]. The work is underway now [2] and
the master forest for JDK 10 is currently locked [3].

I see the Shenandoah project has a JDK 10 forest at

     http://hg.openjdk.java.net/shenandoah/jdk10/

and I wanted to discuss with the team how to handle repo consolidation
with respect to your project.

Within the next few weeks, if you want to keep syncing down changes from
JDK 10 master or hs, you'll need to use a consolidated forest instead of
the current split one. Only one more promotion is planned for the split
forest.

In the near future, we hope to have a script to help automate forward
and backward porting of patches across the consolidation boundary.

Cheers,

-Joe
