In the representative polling of who would like to take on JDK 9 updates 
maintenance on the jdk-updates-dev mailing list there were exactly 0 (in 
words: zero) takers.

So http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk-updates/jdk9u/ is now "READ ONLY".
