JBS Issue: Mutator threads may fail to evacuate

I’ve filed this ticket with a “Shenandoah Generational” “label” in its title: https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8282997

We’ve had some discussion about this issue with Roman Kennke and currently believe the root cause of this problem is related to the out-of-memory during evacuation protocol in traditional Shenandoah (which is the same protocol we are using in Generational Shenandoah).

We seek guidance from the Shenandoah developer community regarding the best way to tackle this.
