Doug, 

It would indeed be very interesting to see this from a Graal perspective. I  have been mulling the idea of using Graal to prototype the proposed milestone (Aparapi functionality pushed down into the JVM).  I would like to hear how you think this might pan out.

I'd be interested in listening in on the call as we're also interesting in the compiling for the GPU in the Graal[1] project.
