The fix is already integrated and cannot be reverted. This notification 
on the 2d-dev alias is caused by a synchronization between AWT/Swing, 
JDK8 master and Java2D workspaces.

The only way to revisit the fix is to file a new bug and commit another 
changeset using this new bug ID, that's the process - as Pavel said, 
it's in his TODO list for JDK8.
