<Swing Dev> Another incarnation of the EventQueue NPE

Hello Petr,

is there a known workaround for this particular issue?

If not, this regression should be fixed ASAP in my opinion.
FileChooser operations are essential for a lot of webstart applications.

It would be great if this issue could be found in JIRA sonewhere so it
doesn't get lost...
