Is it possible to contribute and improve openjdk.java.net site?

Hi,

The openjdk.java.net website is always confusing me: it uses some very
small fonts, it's not so easy to navigate, it's hard to understood where to
click and so on.
Just for a comparison take a look on Java's competitors:
https://www.mono-project.com
https://www.rust-lang.org/
https://golang.org/
https://kotlinlang.org/
https://www.scala-lang.org
end even Perl website looks better https://www.perl.org

I can hire a mate frontend developer who can fix the design issues. Off
course I can contribute too.
So, is it possible somehow to contribute to the website?

Also the website doesn't use HTTPS, only few subdomains like id.opendjk.net,
 wiki.openjdk.net.
Even hg.opendjk.net doesn't support HTTPS.
Today HTTPS is fast and in the same time it's required for security reasons
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BNIkw4Ao9w> and search optimization.
