Requesting editor rights to the OpenJDK Mac OS X Port Wiki

Hi Dalibor

Ok, willdo.

It just feels weird when I have to send a request for a edit permission to a mailing list.

I am going to update the ‚See something wrong on this page? Fix it!<https://wiki.openjdk.java.net/display/MacOSXPort/Main>‘ part of the Wiki then as well.

But I agree with Martjin. If you want the community to fix issues in your Wiki then you should lower the barrier of entry as much as possible.

Regards
Simon

Hi
I signed up for the OSX Port mailing list as well.

Excellent - that's the best place to (re-)raise the suggestion.

Why don’t you just use a standard registration process?

If you are wondering why we don't just let anyone edit the wiki, that's because write privileges to OpenJDK infrastructure (JIRA, wiki, hg, etc.) are tied to an OpenJDK id, which is available for Contributors at Author (or above) level.

It has the nice side effect of not having to waste time on wiki-spam.
