IcedTea is built on mips and mipsel on Debian for some years now. it seems to
build, and most packages do build with OpenJDK6. Packages are available for
OpenJDK7 as well.
Best thing would be to download IcedTea, look for build requirements in the
docs, or run the configury checking for build requirements.
