Thanks, I deleted the comment. It describes implementation distinguishing initial and regular thread http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk9/jdk9/hotspot/rev/548cb3b7b713#l12.7. I'm not sure why the comment was preserved for the bsd_x86, but I don't think it makes sense here.
