Compiler flag to turn off checked exceptions

Not sure if this is a Project Coin thing, but has anyone thought about
a compiler flag to turn off checked exceptions?  I'm sure everyone
knows the arguments against checked exceptions, I'd love to have the
ability to just turn them off so I don't have to wrap them in
RuntimeExceptions.

Not sure what the implications of this are.....
