Patch for plugin code

Here's the solution I posted for review.

I didn't realize this went all the way back into the plugin's C++ code so it
took a bit longer. I had to make sure everything that was reading the value
wasn't affected by the additional segment.

You may need to clear your icedtea cache, not sure if that was just me though.
