The patches apply cleanly with the exception of the 
genSocketOptionRegistry.c file change in 8029607. That file is located 
under jdk/src/share in jdk8u-dev (instead of jdk/make/src in jdk9)

Including Michael - so that he can confirm the change would be ok. Tests 
are green.
