Project Skara [1] has been investigating migrating from Mercurial to Git 
for the OpenJDK Community's source code management needs. This work is 
described in two JEPs, JEP 357: "Migrate from Mercurial to Git" [2] and 
JEP 369: "Migrate to GitHub." [3].
