Mission Statement for the Adoption Group for OpenJDK

As someone who speaks English as a non-mother language, I'd struggle to understand the use of 'champion' in this context. I'd need to take a look at the dictionary. So if the goal for the mission statement is to have a sentence anyone can understand straightaway, I'd suggest we replace 'champion'.
