Fwiw, we'll also reach out the projects participating in the quality 
outreach efforts once a JDK 9 build with the change is available.

Yeah, I agree - I would just assume that learning how to observe aspects 
of the impact of a garbage collector switch can be a fun thing to do at 
a HackDay, and lead to more informed feedback.
