Although its possible that on Windows we always checked the list that 
accidentally omits
this property, its also going to be true that until JDK 7u6 there was no 
Oracle JavaWs for Mac
and Oracle JRE's for other platforms were ignorant of this property and 
so perhaps even a recent
Oracle JDK 6 update would reject it. However I expect an Oracle JDk 8u25 
for Windows would
"allow" this property since the list is not per-platform, although any 
variance in code path might affect that
because of  the omission from one of the lists.
