Has configure changed behaviour??

For me, I have problem only when running configure with jib. Running
configure by itself is OK.

My real path is /jdk/iter but I usually work in the symlink
/home/ioi/jdk/iter:

ioilinux ~/jdk/iter$ tcsh -c pwd
/jdk/iter

ioilinux ~/jdk/iter$ rm -rf build/
ioilinux ~/jdk/iter$ bash configure > /dev/null && echo ok
ok

ioilinux ~/jdk/iter$ rm -rf build/
ioilinux ~/jdk/iter$ bash common/bin/jib.sh configure
[...]
checking where to store configuration... in current directory
configure: Current directory is /home/iklam/jdk/iter.
configure: Since this is not the source root, configure will output the
configuration here
configure: (as opposed to creating a configuration in
<src_root>/build/<conf-name>).
configure: However, this directory is not empty. This is not allowed,
since it could
configure: seriously mess up just about everything.
configure: Try 'cd /jdk/iter' and restart configure
configure: (or create a new empty directory and cd to it).
configure: error: Will not continue creating configuration in

ioilinux ~/jdk/iter$ echo $?
10
