I think this has turned out to be sage advice from Martin, as I believe neither of us has received a reply from the Oracle copyright advisor. In the interests of completing this change, I would be happy to move forward with either of the following.

1. The suggestion from IBM legal department to add both Oracle, and IBM copyright lines (with IBM lines only added to files with significant modification, as discussed above).
2. Reverting copyright header modifications other than year updates.

What are you most comfortable with, my sterling team of reviewers?
