Thank you very much.  I will update my source tree and check it out.

MinGW/MSYS does not have 'cygpath', and I need to get that sorted out 
very early in the configure processing.  This is what brought me to that 
particular section of basics.m4, because I need SRC_ROOT defined so I 
can find my cygpath replacement script.
