Oh, I mistook this for your original work, rather than just a backport. I shall probably look at the diff of diffs. So you just commented out some parts of that.

What exactly is disabled, and what are the implications? I suppose that this isn't disabling how CRaC can enforce a subset of CPU features available to the JIT...
