Btw. Another question – does the tool/plugin only work with some special IDE  (like IntellJ )  or is there a standalone mode ?

Not implemented as such, but certainly possible with some effort. If the tool is open-sourced such customization will be a lot easier on everybody.

Right. Having that in stacks is a relatively recent development, so we simply haven't caught up yet.
