Migrating mail.openjdk.org from Mailman 2 to ?

Hi.

We are investigating migrating mail.openjdk.org away from Mailman 2.  The
OpenJDK mailing lists (mail.openjdk.org) have run on Mailman version 2 since
the OpenJDK Community was founded.  Mailman 2 moved to maintenance-only mode
in 2015. Today it is considered legacy software, used by a dwindling number of
communities.

Having surveyed the alternatives, the best candidate for replacing Mailman 2
appears to be Mailman 3. Does anyone know of other alternatives we should
consider?
