IIRC the certificates do not come with Openjdk, but openjdk have (usually)link
to system links. Look for cacert package or similar, or check where the link
from yours openjdk points, and then query which package provides those files.

Also - you should migrate to openjdk8.... (but it will not solve yours issue)

Generally - oracle jdk is proprietary product, and as that, it is comming with
cacerts.
Openjdk itslef DONT have cacerts  in its sources. But maybe Ubuntu do something
more in packages.


We had recently similar issue in fedora
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1138230) but I'm afraid it will be
restricted as it could have security impact)

Maybe IcedTea do even something more I domt know, Gnu_Andrew may correct me.
