Doug, I can't find the link now, but there were instructions on installing Java 7 on Snow Leopard and it went pretty easy. The failure with graal is that the install doesn't include JavaDB. So I punted on that issue and installed a Linux VirtualBox to do my work on. That's working fine. Jim
