That doesn't necessarily translate into the OpenJDK or Oracle JDK
supporting the Linux-sparc platform. It was previously supported in JFK
7 and early 8 IIRC but is no longer provided in 8u and is not a platform
supported in 9.

Sure it built in the past but b88 was some time ago and as I said once
you get past the hotspot build problem you may find other problems.
