You should also be emailing jdk8u-dev at openjdk.java.net rather than 
jdk8-dev - the latter pertains to development of the original JDK 8 
release, not the latest 8u releases.

Which FAQ were you reading? The "JDK 8" project pertains to the original 
JDK 8 release, you need to be looking at the "JDK 8 updates" project for 
latest 8u information:
