[8u20] Request for approval, backport of 8026385, 8003900, 8042440, 8038027

I posted a review request for 8038027 before going on vacation, I haven't had time to address any of these since getting back. The other three are ready to push, but I either need jdk8u Committer role or a sponsor :)
