Now that we have general blessings from Vladimir Kozlov and John Rose,
Andrew Dinn on AArch64, and Volker Simonis on PPC64. There are also
pending Unsafe cleanup changes from Mikael Vidstedt, but we negotiated
that VarHandles change should go first.
