The prefix symbol

It's a bit late to make Java look like Fortress... unless JDK 8 has a 
mandate for an overall review of the lexicon so we can write √(2) 
instead of Math.sqrt(2), etc., then -1 to adopt non-ASCII symbols 
exceptionally for lambdas.
