Running a standard build with X11 front end

Hi All,
      I'm new to the list and very ignorant. Also, I *like* running java with an X11 front end (all my real work is done in X).
Can any of the standard newer builds linked from
https://wikis.oracle.com/display/OpenJDK/Mac+OS+X+Port
be run with X11 front-end on a standard OSX box? Can anyone tell me how?
Or do I need to do my own build (anybody got instructions lying about?)
