This is Oracle JRE, I was referring to the open source build, which I  
prefer to use.

I'm not trying, I'm just doing what the official appbundler tool does  
(http://java.net/projects/appbundler/). I don't know why, but it does  
require the full JDK and then takes the JRE from it. If at Oracle/Apple  
designed it in this way, I presume there's a reason.

In any case, the problem is not just with the JDK or JRE, is with both.  
The latest time I looked at the google code page, for instance, I could  
see a 7u10. I suppose it's an early access.
