It's distributed under the same binary license as the JRE, with the
intent being to allow applications to redistribute it with their
application. The problem with the non-redistrubitable media library from
2.0 was resolved. I can't speak to whether putting it in a Maven central
repository would meet the terms of the license. I am not a a lawyer, so
I recommend reading the license yourself.
