Survey: JavaFX on tablets and mobile devices

Hi jct,
I can speak about Android only since I had been working on Android 
prototype for some time. iOS is surely another story.
Android platform has become fragmented almost like good old j2me. 
Everyone is aware that development and testing would require significant 
resources. I think Richard is right that finishing opensourcing (glass 
and prism) is crucial and will help greatly in creating new ports. It 
will make Android port ideal for community to step in and start to 
participate in javafx development and testing too. Ideal because it 
already has some building blocks ready, at least a toolchain and a jvm 
with jit (dalvik).
What concerns me is how easy/difficult can community developer start 
such complex thing like a new jfx port. Submitting a patch or even a new 
control seems to be a much simpler task in terms of existing 
infrastructure. There is a review process, hudson builds, functional and 
performance testing for supported platforms which simply processes stuff 
incoming from community. This is something that should Oracle help with 
and it should be clarified.
