foreign meet linkToNative

Hi,
I've just finished setting up a new branch in the Panama repo, called 
'foreign+linkToNative'. As the name suggests, this branch will be used 
to host the experimental linkToNative-based foreign backend. I've 
already pushed some of the frontend changes which enable the binder to 
leverage native method handles; we plan to start working on this soon to 
fix some of the stability issues, add more JIT support and, last but not 
least, add more optimized upcal support.

Not all the tests are passing in the repo - as such I would recommend 
against using this repo for now. But I'll keep you posted on how things 
are progressing - hopefully we will be able to start testing this for 
real :-)
