Hey Christoph,

I've added myself as reviewer for this CSR. Hope that's ok.

There was a bug tail with this PKCS11 upgrade (interoperability issues due to ambiguity in the spec)
See JDK-8229243 also (and the JDK-8225695 regression)

may I please ask you to add yourself as reviewer to the backport CSR JDK-8233825: "Update SunPKCS11 provider with PKCS11 v2.40 support" [0]. It is a CSR for backporting JDK-8080462 to OpenJKD 11u. Oracle did that already for 11.0.6 but with the internal ccc process. Joe indicated, though, that it should be clearer to do an 11u backport CSR still for OpenJDK. I've linked the backport CSR to the Oracle 11.0.6 backport as well.
