Pretty much what Mo said earlier I think.  Github read-only mirror would
really be a developer adoption or "marketing" strategy more than
anything else.

Just a way to increase the visibility of the OpenJDK source tree within
the Open Source community.

Microsoft, Apache, lots of organizations use it in this exact way.
