sync up jigsaw/jigsaw?

Alan,
Could we possibly do this after Mandy and I get our classpath changes in? Mark said
he wanted to give us a code review - and we've already merged that with the current
jigsaw/jigsaw?
I've already done one merge for NMT and jigsaw. The no-perm-gen work will be in
hotspot-main and ready for pushing to jigsaw early next week.
That also includes jsr 292 performance changes that require a flag day with the
libraries. I wouldn't mind waiting until that set of changes has at least gone through
T&L testing one round not in jigsaw just in case.
thanks,
Karen

I'm just wondering about trying to get it up to jdk8-b55, the motive being that there are several changes in jdk8 that require us to update our module definitions (the CDLR work for example) and of course we don't want to be too far behind. This time I expect it will not be a straight-forward merge, the NMT changes in HotSpot for example, and jigsaw/langtools is still at jdk8-b42. I'm just wondering whether anyone has time to do this and perhaps it could be split up (as I suspect the hotspot merge will need some of Karen's time, and I suspect the langtools merge will need a bit of Jon's time). Also maybe we should wait for the perm gen work?
